Collection Of Work Inspired By Wood And Woodlands
The centerpiece of this collection of work is this hand drawn log. Supplied by my good friends at forge creative (http://forgecreative.co/) I then covered the piece in fine liner trying to capture the detail of gnarled weathered bark. This created a marked contrast with the original clean, treated wood of the log.
Below is a fine liner depiction of bark which I then pinned back on to the tree of reference. I wanted to get a contrast between man made and natural, exploring the mechanical nature of drawing with the chaos of natural forms.
